We had a wonderful weekend at Old Buckenham Airshow earlier this month, the team taking two helicopters to the event. One Robinson R44 for introductory flying, plus our Hiller for some VIP guests. We’d been approached by the organisers and asked if we would be interested in meeting Honor Blackman, star of the original Goldfinger movie and Bond Girl Pussy Galore. Having spent many a Christmas Day afternoon enjoying Bond movies after lunch, we didn’t need to be asked twice.

Ms Blackman won’t mind us sharing the fact that she’s in her ninetieth year in 2015, but she’s still sprightly and as engaging as ever. Rob was able to take her for a flight in the helicopter she last sat in when filming Goldfinger fifty years ago, delivering that bomb to Fort Knox.
Old Buckenham Airshow is a great event, the public enjoying some superb, professional airshow flying, while of Robinson R44 was kept busy introductory flying, giving people a chance to taste helicopter flying for themselves. Below is a short video of Ms Blackman at the airshow.
This week, Rob received the most wonderful email of thanks from Ms Blackman, something he’ll cherish for a long time to come. A lovely lady and a true professional, we wish her well.
