Here at Hields we make pilot training fun and most important of all, safe. Our flying instructors will put you through our tried and tested training plan to help you not only become a competent pilot, but give you the foundations that will go right through your pilot career.

For some, a private pilot’s licence (PPL) is enough, it give you the freedom to fly yourself and your friends from airfields across the country. For others, commercial flying is the dream. Which ever flying goal is yours we’re sure to help you achieve.

Currently our R44 helicopter training is carried out from our site at Sherburn. As you’d expect it’s a much quieter airfield for learning how to fly a helicopter, and we even have our very own dedicated circuits.
