About This Experience...
Starting from our base at Sherburn Airfield, Sherburn-in-Elmet, your flight will be 45 minutes circumnavigating the City of Leeds, taking in Temple Newsam house Famous as the birth place of Lord Darnley, notorious husband of Mary Queen of Scots, Temple Newsam House is a truly impressive Tudor-Jacobean mansion.
You will then take in famous Elland Road Football stadium, stunning City Centre views, returning overhead Leeds Bradford Airport, then covering Eccup Reservoir first constructed in 1843 and later expanded, with an open water area of 91 hectares, making it largest area of water in West Yorkshire.
Finishing the return journey off with scenic views of Harewood House Estate, designed by architects John Carr and Robert Adam, it was built, between 1759 and 1771, for wealthy plantation owner Edwin Lascelles, 1st Baron Harewood. One of the Treasure Houses of England, the historic Georgian property sits within “Capability” Brown designed landscape with remarkable views.
